10742NAT CERTIFICATE IV IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY AND THEOLOGY

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following functions in a Christian Ministry context:
* identify, interpret and compare information related to basic Christian beliefs
* provide information related to Christian beliefs and understandings to some Christian and some non-
Christian audiences
* propose what actions are appropriate in a range of life and ministry situations based on interpretations
about Christian beliefs

COURSE DURATION
52 weeks (40 study weeks + 12 weeks break)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be:
* Competent in English
* Undertake an LLN Review
* Minimum of 18 years of age
* Access to a computer, email address, and the internet

WORK-BASED TRAINING
In addition to study time students are required to complete volunteer work within Living Faith Community Church or their local church, where they can gain skills and experience in serving others. Experience may be gained serving in a ministry team such as hosting, children, administration or missons. This volunteer work is called ‘Work-Placement’ or ‘Work-Based Training.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process where students may be granted credit towards a qualification in recognition of their prior skills and knowledge ganined through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. The process requires students to gather evidence of their skills. Fees apply. Email [email protected] for an RPL application form.

RTO’S OBLIGATION TO RECOGNISE – Direct Credit Transfer (DCT)
Anoint the World Theological Seminary recognises and accepts Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Direct Credit Transfer (DCT) will be given to any student who has successfully completed units in any of our accredited courses with another RTO. Prior to the commencement of studies, students must produce a copy of their Record of Results/Statement of Attainment or give the Student Services account permission for Anoint the World Theological Seminary to view their USI transcript online. There is no fee for DCT.

Technology Fee: $25 per term

Certificate IV consists of 9 Units of Competency.  This course takes one year to complete.  All units are available online with some classes being offered face to face.  Interning at a ministry/church is a requirement for the successful completion of each unit.

Required Resources

All students must have access to the internet at home, a computer, fundamental computing skills, and note that each unit has required textbooks.
